The immediately useful parts of this book were Chapters 5 (The End of Time Management: Illusions and Italians), Chapter 6 (The Low-Information Diet: Cultivating Selective Ignorance) and Chapter 7 (Interrupting Interruption and the Art of Refusal), applicable to nearly every work environment. “…are you on offense or defense [?] I think that as you survey the challenges in your lives, it’s just: Which of those did you assign yourself, and which of those are you doing to please someone else? I am grossly overworked and severely underpaid. But I’ve made lots of friends and have in some way, contributed to the building and beauty of the community. But it’s time to move on. I’ve been on a constant job search and now, it’s come along. So I’ll be going into Hotel Management at a location 15 minutes from my house. And the pay is commensurate with the position. I’m actually excited about the room for growth and advancement! Hopefully I’ll be able to recover so m...

“. . . Rosy Summer next advancing, Rush'd into her sire's embrace— Her bright-hair'd sire, who bade her keep For ever nearest to his smiles, On Calpe's olive-shaded steep Or India's citron-cover'd isles. More remote and buxom-brown, The Queen of vintage bow'd before his throne; A rich pomegranate gemm'd her crown, A ripe sheaf bound her zone. . . “ From “ Ode To Winter” by Thomas Campbell (July 27, 1777 - June 15, 1844)
