“Written in Early Spring” by William Wordsworth (1770–1850)

I HEARD a thousand blended notes   While in a grove I sate reclined,  In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts  Bring sad thoughts to the mind.  To her fair works did Nature link  The human soul that through me ran;  And much it grieved my heart to think  What Man has made of Man.  Through primrose tufts, in that sweet bower,  The periwinkle trail’d its wreaths;  And ’tis my faith that every flower  Enjoys the air it breathes.  The birds around me hopp’d and play’d,  Their thoughts I cannot measure,—  But the least motion which they made  It seem’d a thrill of pleasure.  The budding twigs spread out their fan  To catch the breezy air;  And I must think, do all I can,  That there was pleasure there.  If this belief from heaven be sent,  If such be Nature’s holy plan,  Have I not reason to lament  What Man has made of Man?

My friend over at Front Line Evangelism shared the following tools for evangelism:

I.P.O.D.
I: Intro - Ice Breaker

P: Probe - Ask Questions

O: Offer the G.O.S.P.E.L.

D: Decision - Make a Choice

The G.O.S.P.E.L.
G: God created us in His image, for His glory and to have a relationship with Him.

O: Our sin separates us from God. The wages of sin is death and the punishment for sin is eternity in the Lake of Fire.

S: Sin is breaking God's Laws (The Ten Commandments) and everyone has sinned.

P: Proving He is God, Jesus lived the Perfect sinless life, Performed many miracles, fulfilled all the Prophesies, then shedding His blood on the cross He Paid the Price for sin when He died and rose again. Share your personal testimony.

E: Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord, repents of their sin and puts their faith and trust in Jesus shall be forgiven for their sins, reconciled with God, granted Eternal Life and Enter Heaven when they die.

L: Love & Life - God showed the depths of His Love by sacrificing His only son. He wants to give you a new heart, a new Life, make you a new creation in Christ and have a personal relationship with you.
