Preparing for this week’s worship service, I was studying
Romans 15 which spun off the question, “What is the responsibility of the minister (or priest): to present God to the people or the people to God?”
Read the passage below and comment on topic:
“But I have written very boldly to you on some
points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from
God, to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest
the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable,
sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason
for boasting in things pertaining to God. For I will not presume to speak of
anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the
obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed, in the power of signs and wonders,
in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as
Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” (Romans 15:15-19, NASB)

But how does one wish on falling star? Once you see it, it's gone before the wish or prayer can be made! The answer is simple: meteor shower. That's how to get your wish. Mrs. Ann Hodges had a wish fall right into her lap. Sort of. In 1954 Mrs. Hodges was sleeping on the couch when a 8 1/2 pound meteorite fell through her house and into her living room where it bounced off the radio and struck her left hip leaving her with a bruise. Not sure what she was wishing, but that's not how to do it. Epictetus hel...
