Welcome, October

“The skies they were ashen and sober;        The leaves they were crispĂ©d and sere—        The leaves they were withering and sere;  It was night in the lonesome October        Of my most immemorial year;  It was hard by the dim lake of Auber,        In the misty mid region of Weir—  It was down by the dank tarn of Auber,        In the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir.” (First stanza of “Ulalume” by Edgar Allen Poe)

How Does This Happen?

Yeah, so that happened yesterday. Never done that before. What's more embarrassing is that I lead our noon group, so no backing out.

Box jumps in socks is no fun.
Knees told me about it later.
But that was mostly due the walking lunges.

Anyway, here was today's dog food (finished in 16:03):

4x10 Sumo Deadlifts then "Jackie" for time:
  • 1000m row (sub with 100 UR Rows @ 45#)
  • 50 Thrusters (45#)
  • 30 pullups
