Tolstoy, after Rousseau, on Knowledge and Wisdom

“Real wisdom is not the knowledge of everything, but the knowledge of which things in life are necessary, which are less necessary, and which are completely unnecessary to know. Among the most necessary knowledge is the knowledge of how to live well, that is, how to produce the least possible evil and the greatest goodness in one’s life. At present, people study useless sciences, but forget to study this, the most important knowledge.”

"It'll Be A Light Week" They Said

Ok, so I get this message from my buddy saying we will be having a "light" week. After today's WOD, I determined he must have been referring to those periods when the sun was out or something. Today we did:

AMRAP 15
  • 20 hanging knee raises
  • 10 L-arm overhead walking lunge steps (45/30#)
  • 10 R-arm overhead walking lunge steps
It was fun, actually! But not "light"!
Managed to squeeze out 4 rounds.
